Egypt is a member of the Arab League and the African Union. Egyptians reach several Arab and African neighbours visa-free or with a visa on arrival - Jordan is visa-free, Lebanon grants a visa on arrival with a hotel booking, and Kenya and Malaysia are open without a prior visa.
A practical tip: a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit unlocks the online eVisa for Turkey and easier entry to Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Oman. Egypt has no visa-waiver with Europe or North America, so those remain embassy visas arranged in advance.
