Citizens of Namibia's SADC neighbours - South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania - and a number of other nations (such as Russia, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia, Cuba and Hong Kong) can still enter visa-free for up to 90 days and do not need this eVisa.
Since 1 April 2025, however, most Western travellers - the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand - do need it.
