The Bulgarian passport is a strong EU document, opening roughly 170 destinations visa-free or with a visa on arrival - including the entire EU and Schengen area, Japan, South Korea and the UAE.
As an EU citizen you enjoy full freedom of movement across Europe.
One quirk to note: unlike most EU states, Bulgaria is not in the US Visa Waiver Program, so a US trip still needs an embassy visa. Only a small group of other countries ask for an online eVisa or eTA - and those are the ones we handle for you.

As an EU citizen, a Bulgarian enjoys full freedom of movement: you can travel, live, work and study in any other EU or EEA country and in Switzerland using just your passport or national ID card. With Bulgaria now in the Schengen area, there are no routine border checks when travelling within it, and you do not need ETIAS.
Two things stand out further afield. The United States still requires a full embassy visa for Bulgarians, because Bulgaria is not yet in the Visa Waiver Program, and the UK now needs an ETA before you fly. The UK ETA is quick and online, and we can prepare it for you.
