About Croatia Passport

The Croatian passport is a strong EU document, opening roughly 170 destinations visa-free or with a visa on arrival - including the entire EU and Schengen area, Japan, and the United States on an ESTA.

As an EU citizen you enjoy full freedom of movement across Europe, and Croatia has been in the Schengen area and Eurozone since 2023. Only a small group of countries still ask for an online eVisa or eTA - and those are the ones we handle for you.

As an EU citizen, a Croatian enjoys full freedom of movement: you can travel, live, work and study in any other EU or EEA country and in Switzerland on your passport or national ID card. Croatia joined the Schengen area and the Eurozone in 2023, so there are no border checks within Schengen and no need for ETIAS.

Croatia also stands out among EU states for being in the US Visa Waiver Program, so the United States is an ESTA away rather than an embassy visa. Two more things to know: the UK now needs an ETA, and South Korea needs a K-ETA - both quick and online, and we can prepare them for you.
