Iranians travel visa-free to several neighbours - Turkey and Armenia for 90 days and Georgia for 45 days (with a hotel booking and return ticket), plus Iraq and, since September 2025, Malaysia. Oman is visa-free for short stays with a hotel booking and insurance.
A practical tip: a valid US, UK or Schengen visa or residence permit opens easier entry to several more countries. Note that the United States currently suspends visas for Iranian nationals and Australia introduced a temporary entry ban in 2026, so those stay closed for now; Europe and most of the Americas remain embassy visas.
